Zopo Speed 8 with deca-core SoC launched at Rs 29999

The Zopo Speed 8 has officially made its India debut, bringing its deca-core processor technology to local shores. The handset can be bought in exchange of Rs 29999 and will go up for sale via both online and offline retail outlets.

The brand claims the Zopo Speed 8 is the first handset in the world to run on the 10-core MediaTek Helio X20 MT6797 SoC. It’s probably hoping the feature is enough to make the device stand out from the numerous other Chinese contenders looking to make their mark on the Indian handset sector.

The CPU is assisted in its efforts by 4GB worth of RAM and an ARM Mali-T880 GPU. Other than its deca-core CPU, the other top highlight of the Speed 8 is its 21MP rear camera. The snapper has been fitted with a Sony IMX230 sensor, an aperture of f/2.2, dual-LED flash, and PDAF to focus on images within 0.2 seconds. The module is paired with an 8MP selfie snapper which is accompanied by LED flash.
