The much-delayed YuFit fitness band is finally hitting shelves on July 29, selling for Rs 999 via the company’s standard flash sale model. Registrations for the device start from July 21 and go on till July 27 on Amazon India.
The first 1000 customers who purchase the band will get free personalized advice from dieticians and fitness trainers through the Healthifyme app, a startup which the Micromax-owned Yu invested in to compliment the YuFit. Subscribing normally starts with a 7-day trial period, then costs Rs 1800 for two months and can go up to Rs 10000 for a year.
The YuFit band offers a touch-enabled OLED screen, which allows for switching between modes on the device. It displays information such as task reminders, time, call or message notifications, number of steps taken while walking, calories burned, and sleep patterns. The manufacturer claims it can last on a single charge for three weeks and is waterproof.

Healthifyme is paired along with the YuFit app to record and analyze data. Both require Android 4.3 and above to function, with iOS compatibility coming later down the line. Healthifyme can be used to monitor fitness goals and has over 500 exercises and activities in its database. It can further assist in keep track of dietary intake through a menu that includes Indian fare.
The YuFit band’s closest competitor is the Mi Band which is also priced at Rs 999. The Xiaomi-owned wearable gadget doesn’t have a screen, relying on its app to tell users information. It has a slightly longer battery life of 30 days and comes with military grade sensors. Its design consists of a hypoallergenic silicone band with an aluminum core.
Once again, registrations for the YuFit fitness band begin on July 21 at 12pm, with the device going on sale from 12pm on July 29.
