Micromax puts some distance between itself and Yu brand with first unveil

It may be a somewhat odd name to have, but the Yu series’ Yureka phone by Micromax prefers you call it that and asks you to pay just Rs 8999 in exchange of some very impressive specs that it has on offer. This dual SIM phone supports 4G LTE and is part of a new sub-brand, but the Indian company has chosen to not affix its name to it for some reason.

As was known before, the Yu Yureka comes equipped with the Cyanogen 11 operating system, complete with all its famed customization abilities. This is the result of an exclusivity partnership the makers of the software have struck with Micromax, which also led to the OnePlus One being banned in India recently.
