Dual-Screen YotaPhone gets a second price cut, can be grabbed for just Rs 12999 now

Serves the YotaPhone dual screen phone right for dumping itself into the Indian market at an unreasonable price after taking its own sweet time to make an entry here. The device has received its second discount in four months, and now costs just Rs 12999 as pitted against its original tag of Rs 23499.

The YotaPhone was counted among the most interesting gadgets of 2013 when its made its debut at the Mobile World Congress that year. Fast-forward to the present and it’s nothing more than an aged handset with average hardware and two screens. Then there’s the fact that its successor makes it look far worse by comparison.

Now it appears that the YotaPhone isn’t finding many takers in India since it was launched in October 2014 for Rs 23499, only to received a discount of Rs 5500 in November to bring its cost down to Rs 17999. In what seems to be further desperation to get the handset flying off shelves, the company has brought it down even more to Rs 12999, as mentioned above.
