The YES-wallet Pouch mobile wallet service recently made its debut for the iPhone, BlackBerry and Android smartphones. This app aims to ease the process of making payments through smartphones or the web.
The company claims that their latest e-wallet service will facilitate faster and more convenient payments as well as smoother collection and redemption of loyalty points, receipt of electronic store receipts, usage of gift cards, access to merchant advertising and promotions. While it currently supports roll out of retail couponing, loyalty and location-based mobile advertising along with marketing services, Pouch will soon be updated with support for NFC-based payments.
Chandra Patni, Director of YES-wallet.com, commented, “Merchants perform millions of card transactions per week, and now their card paying customers can create free personal wallets to get instant benefits such as card payment e-receipts, e-coupons and location based services. Pouch supports storage of personal credit, debit and pre-paid (SVA) cards in the ‘My wallet’ function which can be used to make payments at web, mobile and physical stores.”
This application helps users in payment of receipts, storing credit or debit payment card data safely and provides information regarding loyalty and coupons information. According to YES-wallet, when Pouch will be operating on NFC phones in the near future, it would employ the Point-to-Point encryption service. This service basically combines the wallet login credentials and the wallet holder’s chosen card payment method reference to transport them toward the payment gateway. Various details regarding the card will then be retrieved for conducting a magnetic card emulation authorization with the issuer.
The YES-wallet Pouch mobile wallet service is now available at the App Store, Android Market and BlackBerry App World for free.
