The Yamaha RX-V573 and RX-V473 AV receivers belonging to the RX-V series build up on the features offered by the previously introduced RX-V373. These eco-friendly home theater systems are compatible with AirPlay, which should ensure instant connections to iOS devices like iPhone, iPad as well as iPod.
The improved setup features in addition to the exclusive YPAO system calibration, add to the simplicity factor, while the system control has been made convenient with the Yamaha AV controller app. Besides iOS, Kindle and Android devices, the receivers are also said to be capable of streaming audio via DLNA enabled gadgets and internet radio.

The RX-V573 variant employs 7 amplifiers to deliver 7-channel surround sound. Its Virtual Presence Speaker function renders Cinema DSP 3D surround sound, even without front speakers. Both these AV gadgets are fitted with displays to project setup prompts, song titles and more. They also act as charging docks for iPhone, iPod and iPad.
Their HD audio format decoding includes Dolby Digital Plus, DTS-HD Master Audio, DTS-HD High Resolution Audio and Dolby TrueHD. Featuring an Eco mode to keep the power consumption in check, these devices have been included with subwoofer level adjustment along with an HDMI switching function to remember the settings of different devices. Furthermore, they are embedded with 4 Scene mode buttons for adjusting entertainment options.
