The pioneers of digital audio and video reproduction Yamaha recently introduced a wireless docking station dubbed PDX-60. The device employs the company’s proprietary yAired technology.
The Yamaha PDX 60 delivers strong, rich and dynamic bass sound and offers synchronization between sound and video while watching movies on the iPhone. The device features a cradle for setting the iPhone on a table. It is inclusive of a remote control with auto power on and volume control capabilities.
Owing to the yAired technology superior sound quality through uncompressed linear PCM audio transmission, no audio delay is ensured. The PDX-60 is compact and can be placed anywhere, or easily carried from one place to another.
The iPhone dock incorporates dual 3-1/4” full-range cone woofer and bass-reflex speakers. Apart from the iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS and iPhone the PDX 60 supports iPod Touch, iPod Classic, iPod Nano and iPod (5th generation). The dimensions of the Yamaha docking station are 13-3/4″ x 4-1/4″ x 4-7/8″ and it weighs around 3.7lbs.
The Yamaha PDX-60 can be purchased for an MRP $299.95. It is available in black, blue, gray and pink shades.
