The most significant difference between the two series announced by XtremeMac is the available colors. Working in sync with the Smart Cover, each one sports shades that gel with the said screen shield. The SC lineup concentrates more on the polyurethane covers made available by Apple, while the SCL members cater to fans of the leather variety.
The Microshield SC protects the rear of the iPad 2 and it also blends in effortlessly with the looks of the Smart Cover. The Clear option in this one even lets Apple aficionados show off the bitten fruit. Other colors available in this variety include black, blue, pink and grey.
Just like the previous one, the Microshield SCL also secures the tablet against scratches, dust and dirt. Crafted in leather, this case offers a firm grip over the hard exterior of the device. It can be picked up in rich hues of cream, black, navy, tan and red. The design allows ready access to all the controls and ports on the body of the iPad.
