Xolo Q510s 4-inch, quad-core Android smartphone announced for Rs 6499

A Xolo Q510s we hadn’t heard of until today has made an official appearance on the Xolo website complete with a 4-inch display, 5MP camera and quad core processor. The Xolo Q510s is priced at Rs 6,499 and tags along a very predictable set of features which is pretty much standard for smartphones in the low-end range.

What sets the Xolo Q510s apart from the competition is that it offers somewhat of a premium design owing to the metallic finish on the rear, but isn’t as attractive as the A550s IPS that’s priced at Rs 5799. The main competitor here is the Moto E, though the 4-inch ZenFone from Asus will also be putting up a tough fight considering its popularity.

Then there’s the Redmi 1S handset from Xiaomi which will go on sale in the coming days that’s bound to attract a lot of buyers. The upcoming Xolo device is no slouch and it should certainly offer performance that’s at par with the competition. The phone is dressed with a 4-inch WVGA IPS display and it offers dual cameras covering a VGA front lens and 5MP rear one.

Android 4.4.2 KitKat is served sans any extra dressing and there’s a quad core 1.3GHz processor delivering the steam from the inside. The handset also packs an entire gigabyte of RAM, 8GB of storage, a microSD card slot and a 1500mAh battery. Sadly, there’s no mention of dual SIM support amongst the specs.
