Xolo Q1010i announced for Rs 13499, has 8MP Sony Exmor R camera sensor

The newly announced Xolo Q1010i is yet another iteration to an older device and it carries a price tag of Rs 13499, which may not seem like a steep hike considering the improvements that have been made. For starters, the smartphone’s most attractive feature is now lent by Sony, an Exmor R sensor for its 8MP main camera.

The Xolo Q1010i is supposed to be better than its predecessor at clicking pictures in poorly lit conditions owing to its f2.0 aperture and 1.4µm bigger pixel size. Another interesting element lets users access certain functions on the handset without unlocking it even when it is in the sleep or standby mode.

Tracing an ‘e’ on the lock screen throws open the web browser, ‘m’ summons the camera function and ‘c’ brings up the dial pad. Few other differences can been spotted when comparing the Q1010i and its older version. The refresh variant now carries 8GB of internal memory as opposed to 4GB of the same.
