Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G makes its debut in India

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G, a huge new tablet from the Chinese company, is all set to be released in India finally by means of a flash sale that begins at 2pm on Flipkart. If you’re interested in buying the smartphone, we believe you will definitely have registered for it beforehand because if you haven’t, you won’t be able to buy it today.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G is being released in India after the ban on the company’s smartphones was partially revoked by the Delhi High Court recently. While acting on a patent dispute litigation filed by Ericsson, the court had asked the firm to stop importing and selling its smartphones in the country.

However, Xiaomi was quick to point out that the patent issue applies only to those smartphones which run on MediaTek processors and not those that house Qualcomm ones. The court hence allowed it to only offer those devices featuring Snapdragon processors on them, which is what enabled the sale of the Redmi 1S last week.

And since the Redmi Note 4G also kicks in the Snapdragon 400 chipset, it can legally be sold by the company in India today. This phablet features a 5.5-inch display and a host of other advanced components.
