January 19 could very well be the date on which Xiaomi will unveil the Indian variants of its Redmi Note 4 smartphone. That’s because the company has started sending out invites to an event which will be taking place in New Delhi on the same date.
The Redmi Note 4 is already available in China in the form of different variants, with all of them having a deca core Helio X20 processor at their hearts. However, things will be a little different for the Indian variant, given the fact that a court order has prohibited Xiaomi from selling devices with MediaTek chipsets in the country. A Snapdragon 625 SoC is expected to be present inside it.
Multiple models of the Redmi Note 4 are available out there. But we are expecting two of them to land in India. One offers 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, while the other goes for 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. They are priced in China at CNY 899 (around Rs 9000) and CNY 1199 (around Rs 12000), respectively. The final Indian pricing will only be clear on the day of the launch.
