After months of letting fans wait for hints, it looks like the Xiaomi Mi 4 flagship smartphone is finally ready to make its debut in India. The phone was originally scheduled to arrive by the end of December, but will be a month late as the new launch date is said to be January 28.
The Economics Times is reporting that Hugo Barra confirmed this information with them and the company’s head of India operations, Manu Jain, disclosed that the Xiaomi Mi 4 will go on sale in February. The Chinese giant is yet to officially disclose these details and that’s most likely going to happen by the end of this week or early next week.
Considering that the Mi 4 will be announced on January 28, it could go up for grabs on February 3, which is a Tuesday, the company’s preferred day to hold sales. Speaking of which, we might see the flagship arrive in the usual flash sale fashion through Flipkart, but it could have a different approach planned as well.

The Xiaomi handset is quite a high-end one, but it won’t be as powerful as new and upcoming flagships since the hardware it carries is found on top-tier phones of nearly a year old. Nevertheless, it’ll run anything and everything you throw at it. You also get the latest MIUI V6 interface with Android 4.4 KitKat running the show.
