Xiaomi Mi 4 outed in India at Rs 19999

It’s been a long wait for the Xiaomi Mi 4 smartphone to arrive and it has finally been launched in the Indian market. The handset is priced at Rs 19999 for the 16GB model and it’s scheduled to go on sale via Flipkart on February 10, which is just under 2 weeks away.

The Xiaomi Mi 4 will be available through the usual flash sale approach on the e-commerce website and the company will also offer it with 64GB of storage. However there’s no word on how much the higher capacity model will retail for and it isn’t likely to be made available on the same day as the 16GB model.

The new launch will compete with Huawei’s Honor 6 and the OnePlus One, both of which offer flagship-class features at very affordable rates. The two devices do have an upper hand over the Xiaomi one since the former is selling for Rs 17999 with expandable storage, while the latter has 64GB of flash memory. The Mi 4 is no slouch as it’s as powerful as most 2014 flagships including the LG G3 and Sony’s Xperia Z3, on paper.

On the rear, Xiaomi has gone with a 13MP Sony IMX214 sensor that is capable of 4K video capture.
