WhatsApp has earned a whopping 800 million monthly active users

The unstoppable growth of WhatsApo has managed to reach a new milestone, even as the extremely popular instant messaging app is currently boasting of 800 million monthly active users according to its CEO. Moreover, the number of people who have registered and are not using the utility is way more than 800 million.

If you’ll recall, WhatsApp had breached that 700 million monthly active user milestone as recently as in January this year. This means 100 million users got added in a span of just 4 months. At such an incredible growth rate, it won’t take much time for the app to breach the magical 1 billion milestone.

Although no official findings are at hand, it can easily be inferred that the recent addition of the voice calling functionality to the app’s Android version greatly increased its user base suddenly. And this feature is already on its way to iOS and Windows Phone devices now, which means there’s one more reason for users of these operating systems to go for WhatsApphttp://www.mobiletor.com/129815/whatsapp-voice-calling-rolls-out-to-all-android-users-now/.

It was only yesterday that we learned about this utility having been blessed with Google Drive support. With this facility, you can back up and restore your messages via the cloud storage service. Although the updated version with this feature hasn’t reached the Google Play store yet, there’s still an APK file which can be grabbed by those interested in it.
