Western Digital’s My Passport Ultra portable HDDs unveiled in India

Western Digital has announced the release of its WD My Passport Ultra portable hard drives in India, through its official distribution channels including retail stores and authorized resellers. The redesigned HDDs have been made available in two storage capacities of 1TB and 2TB. These carry price tags of Rs 4750 and Rs 7550, respectively. They are being sold in four color options of black, white, electric blue and raspberry red.

The newly introduced WD My Passport Ultra is the 7th generation device in this series of portable HDDs by the company. Even though cloud storage is gaining momentum all over the world, physical hard drives are still a big business. They come in handy when people want to access their content on the go and don’t have an Internet connection which lets them lean on online storage.
