WD Photos Photo Viewer

Now Indian users can easily see the pictures hoarded on their hard drives from their iPhone. Well, WD has launched a WD Photos Photo Viewer app for iPhone with its My Book World Edition and WD ShareSpace network drives. This allows users to view up to 2,50,000 of their preferred images from wherever in the world. The WD Photos photo viewer app enables users to effortlessly access their drive from anywhere so they can view their complete photo library.

Users’ pictures can stay confidential, secure and protected in full high resolution format, on their network drive, eradicating the requirement for painstaking uploads to expensive online photo services and the call for selecting which images to sync to their iPhone. The app’s potent search tools, thumbnail previews and viewing choices can make it simple to pick out that special picture to show a friend at a coffee shop or recall a special moment.

Sushil Bandi, Country Manager for the Indian Subcontinent, Western Digital, commented, “Home networks are becoming prevalent in many parts of the world, and WD’s My Book World Edition network drives are the easiest way to create one place for all your photos that is accessible to everyone from within the home, and securely from outside the home. With the WD Photos photo viewer app and a WD My Book World Edition network drive, users can access all of the photos from their collection via their iPhone without syncing, without extra organizing and without paying a fee. Photos are available instantly making it easy to relive those great memories or share them with friends.”

Users can access up to 2,50,000 images on their iPhone by just copying their pictures into the ‘Shared Pictures’ folder on their My Book World Edition network drive. An exclusive application that functions directly on these WD network drives mechanically crafts optimized versions of users’ images ahead of time, facilitating quick viewing on an iPhone without having to wait for the photos to load.

With this app, images are mechanically resized for ideal viewing on their iPhone, leaving the original in complete resolution. The app can sort out the images the user wants. They can access pictures by album, folder and also search for photos by date, folder name or file name. iPhone owners can access the formerly seen photos offline. Users can also share a photo with a friend via e-mail. They can allocate a picture to a contact. Users can include an image to the Camera Roll. Users can also view and set the duration of a slideshow.

WD Photos photo viewer app supports iPhone OS 3.1 or later. To use the app, iPhone users need to register with WD’s free MioNet remote access service. This app runs with WD’s My Book World Edition network drives and WD ShareSpace network storage systems.
