The availability of the VooMote Zapper through Apple was recently revealed by Zero1.tv. This dongle accessory can transform an iPad or iPhone into a smart universal remote for operating almost any audio visual device.
With a size of a paperclip, the lightweight peripheral is incorporated with the ‘room to room’ functionality that allows users to access entertainment content at anytime and from anywhere in the house. It comes dressed in blue, pink, red, orange, gray and green colors besides the standard black and white.
Alex Gruber, CEO, Zero.tv stated, “The VooMote Zapper was made to bridge the convenience of the old trusty universal remote controls with new App-enabled technology of the future. We wanted to make a solution that people would really pick up and use every day not because it was ‘gadgety’ but because it was, in fact, a better solution for their lifestyles. Features, such as gestures and take a tour were implemented because we know users don’t want to take their eyes off their TV for a second or read long manuals.”
Easy to set up, this iOS accessory has to be used along with the free VooMote Zapper app. Thousands of electronic devices can be controlled with the iPad or iPhone after installing the application and dongle. The app would soon be incorporated with the iCloud feature which will allow users to transfer customized remote control configurations to any friends’ or family member’s iOS device that shares the same Apple ID.
The VooMote Zapper can now be purchased online at Apple.com in either black or white shades for a price of $69.99 and it will be available in Apple retail stores from February 7. The other eight color options can be bought online at zero1.tv. The VooMote Zapper app is available for free from the App Store.
