A new tool known as the Vonage Mobile app recently made its way to the iOS and Android mobile platforms. Through this application, users will be able to make and receive calls as well as send texts for free to others around the world that have the application installed on their devices.
Capable of working over Wi-Fi, 3G and 4G wireless data networks, the software can be downloaded onto the iPhone, iPad and Android-powered smartphones as well as tablets. Users can make international calls to those who do not have this app at cost effective rates that are said to be around 70 percent lesser than the amount charged by major mobile carriers.

It combines the best of free high-def voice and messaging along with incredible value for traditional international calls, all while using the existing mobile number and address book for unsurpassed ease of use,” commented Marc Lefar, CEO of Vonage.
By employing the device’s existing mobile number and contact list, the process of forming a new username and duplicate identity might not be necessary. The application also comes integrated with a multi-invite system. Through this, invites can be sent out for getting others to join the service.
The Vonage Mobile app can now be downloaded for free through the Apple App Store, Android Market or from the company’s website.
