After launching the Vonage Extensions app for Android devices last month, the company has declared the availability of the same for the iPhone. This new app allows for one-touch international calling via the recently unveiled Extensions service.
Through the Extensions app, users can conveniently employ the company’s unlimited international calling plans with their smartphones. The VOIP service was previously only available on regular phones with the Vonage Phone Adapter. The application lets users dial international phone numbers directly from their existing contact list so that the need to re-enter numbers or leave the app to make calls is eliminated.
“Extensions delivers unmatched value and flexibility, because it lets customers link more phones to their Vonage service, creating a virtual family plan. The addition of Extensions apps gives customers with iPhones and Android devices an even simpler, more convenient way to take advantage of our international service,” remarked Michael Tempora, SVP of Product Management for Vonage.
The first extension is included with users’ home calling plan without any extra charges. Users will only receive one bill for all calls to avoid the hassles of numerous bills. Those who are already customers of the Vonage international calling service merely have to dial the access number from their registered phone, enter the PIN and then put in the international destination number.
The Vonage Extensions app for iPhone can now be downloaded from the iTunes app store for free.
