Vivo Y31L 4G phone hits India for Rs 9450

Vivo has released a string of smartphones in India since 2015, with the latest being its Vivo Y31L 4G-enabled handset. The price of the device is Rs 9450, which seems a wee bit steep for a brand that’s not exceedingly popular in the country. The phone’s specifications are somewhat similar to those offered by the Y27L.

The front shows off a 4.7-inch 960 x 540p resolution screen with IPS technology. Above the display is a 5MP camera that is complemented by an 8MP one with LED flash on the back panel. The Vivo Y31L is powered by an unsatisfactory 1GB of RAM, a 1.2GHz quad core Snapdragon chip from Qualcomm and a 2200mAh battery.

The Y31L comes with dual SIM support and the usual connectivity options like Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. Although it has just 16GB of memory aboard, storage-hungry users can add up to 128GB of extra space courtesy of the microSD card slot. In terms of appearance, the Vivo Y31L is your generic Android device.

Some special features of the handset include a Palm Capture mode which allows users to get it to click a photo by showing their palm to the camera. It even has a screen recording option for those who want to create game or app demos. There’s also an option to grab long chats through the Long Screenshot function.

Vivo has released quite a few phones in India. Yet the company hasn’t done much to give each handset its own unique identity. It’s a problem which exists with most brands that churn out budget devices. As you can see, the Vivo Y31L is just like any other one of its affordable offerings.
