Vivo V3, V3 Max with Snapdragon SoC, 13MP camera unveiled in India

The Vivo V3 and V3 Max handsets have made its international debut at a launch event in India. The brand is promoting the two with the tagline ‘Faster than Faster,’ with a heavy emphasis on its speed abilities.

The Vivo V3 and V3 Max fall under the highly-competitive mid-range category in India with its price set at Rs 17980 and Rs 23980, respectively. The brand has tried to differentiate the handsets from its competitors by granting the two some unique features such as Hi-Fi music chipsets and a split-screen tool to allow for easier multitasking.

Vivo says the latter can be used to do something like watch a movie while chatting with someone side-by-side. As for speed, the brand claims the 13MP main camera of the V3 Max can start up within 0.7 seconds and focus on an image within 0.2 seconds with the help of PDAF technology.

The V3 Max additionally comes equipped with an octa-core Snapdragon 652 processor and 4GB of RAM to make executing tasks snappy. Furthermore, its fingerprint sensor can supposedly unlock the phone in 0.2 seconds flat. Its almost-identical looking sibling is differentiated from it by a 5-inch 720p display, 3GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 616 SoC and a 2550mAh battery.
