Vivo V3 gets a major cut in cost

The Vivo V3 has gotten a huge price cut just a few months after its launch in India. The handset will now be available at Rs 14980 via offline retail shops across India.

To recall, the Vivo V3 had first arrived in India back in April and was being vended at Rs 17980. The new cost marks a Rs 3000 drop in value which should help make it more competitive against rivals in the crowded mid-range market sector. The company asserts the revision has been announced keeping the upcoming festival season in mind.

Vivo V3, V3 Max

The all-metal V3 packs a decent mix of specs for the budget market segment in India. Stand-out features include its 360-degree fingerprint scanner which can apparently unlock the handset within 0.5 seconds and 13MP camera that’s supposed to kickstart into action inside of 0.7 seconds and focus on an image in under 0.2 seconds thanks to PDAF.
