Vistara and MIAL introduce mobile boarding passes at Mumbai T2 airport terminal

In a bid to not only save the time of passengers but also make an effort towards becoming more environment friendly, Vistara has launched the facility of grabbing a mobile boarding pass for its customers. It has done that in partnership with the Mumbai International Airport which means it’s unfortunately only applicable for those travelling out of the said city.

Despite being a domestic airline, Vistara is among a few carriers that leave from Terminal 2 in Mumbai which is meant especially for international flights. It’s the advanced machinery present at this airport that has enabled the company to come up with this project.

The method of obtaining your mobile boarding pass for a Vistara flight is quite simple if you’re familiar with the web check-in process of any airline. Using your name and PNR number on the carrier’s website or mobile app, you can check into your flight beforehand by choosing your seat.

But even after this, you need to obtain a tangible boarding pass when you reach the airport. However, with the new feature that Vistara has on offer you can opt for a mobile boarding pass right after you’ve checked in. A link will be sent to you via an SMS, clicking on which will take you to your desired air ticket.

You’re advised to take a screenshot of it and directly reach the boarding desk in the airport. You must have an identity proof handy of course, in order to board your flight.

This new Vistara facility has only been made available for those who are travelling out of Mumbai’s T2 terminal to New Delhi, Bangalore, Ahmadabad or Goa. The company is bound to expand it to other airports in the future.
