Virgin Mobile offers the Android-based HTC Legend

HTC LegendNews about the HTC Legend phone arriving through Virgin Mobile has been doing the rounds for quite some days now. Well, mobile lovers in Canada can gear up to finally experience this handset. The HTC Legend with Android 2.1 is now up for grabs online via Virgin Mobile. As for Bell customers, it looks like they’ll have to wait until June 16 to pick up the phone.

Supporting HTC Sense, this touchscreen handset has a 3.2 capacitive AMOLED display for better viewing. The aluminum unibody gives it a metallic while its 5 mega pixel auto focus and flash camera with video recording ups the ante further. They can use the Android Google Mobile Service Applications for Gmail, Google Maps, Google Talk and Android Market Street View with a downloading speed of up to 7.2Mbps.

With geotagging, this phone also features FM Radio and music player with an expandable memory of 32GB. It is packed with a standard micro USB and has a 3.5mm stereo audio jack. Compatible with the HSPA network, this phone supports Wi-Fi connectivity and Bluetooth 2.1.

The HTC Legend will be available at a price if $79.99 on a 3-year agreement or for $349.99 on a month-to-month basis. The date of release is scheduled on June 16.
