Vimeo Video App

The range of entertainment options for those who own smartphones powered by the Microsoft Windows Phone OS has just received a new addition in the form of the Vimeo video app. Via this video sharing tool, users are allowed to upload, download and browse through a number of online video clips.

Vimeo was released last year for the Android and iOS mobile platforms. With this software sitting snugly in their handsets, users can view and manage their Vimeo videos from the Vimeo accounts. If they have less time on their hands, Windows Phone handset owners are allowed to store their desired videos in the Watch Later queue for future viewing.

The new software lets users search specific videos related to their topic of interest with the member-curated Channels and Groups features. Furthermore, HD video clips can easily be uploaded, liked and even commented on. Device owners are able to share videos that appeal to them, with others via email and SMS as well as social networking websites like Facebook and Twitter.

WMPoweruser reports that this application makes it possible to pause and resume uploads at any time besides giving users the ability to replace existing videos with new ones. Owners of smartphones operating on the new generation Windows Phone 7.5 Mango OS would be able to receive updates from the app regarding likes, plays and comments on their videos.

The Vimeo for Windows video app can now be downloaded for free from the Windows Phone Marketplace.
