Verizon Wireless updates V Cast Music app for Android users

V Cast Music Seamlessly downloading music tracks in multiple formats is all set to become relatively easy for Android enthusiasts. Verizon Wireless recently announced an updated version of its V Cast Music app that allows Android smartphone users to download music easily and at affordable prices.

The new version of this app enables users to purchase full-track songs in MP3 formats without DRM. Further, each song can be downloaded OTA for $0.69, $0.99 or $1.29 per song. The app’s V Cast Media Manager aids in transferring the tracks to other devices such as PCs or MP3 players. It is compatible with devices running on Android 2.1 or later versions and even comes preloaded on select Android devices.

“Verizon Wireless is taking a leap forward with V Cast Music. We’re bringing the different kinds of music people love to have on their phones together in one, easy-to-use application, making it easy for customers to get what they want at lower prices,” expressed Greg Haller, VP, Consumer Solutions, Verizon Wireless. “We’ve added features to V Cast Music that make it simple and more fun to enjoy your favorite music on your phone and with your friends and family.”

With the V Cast Music app, customers can purchase and download the same song in multiple formats including full-track, ringtone and ringback tones in certain bundles. In addition, Jukeboxes containing ringback tones can be bought so that every time callers get to hear different tones every time they dial up the user’s phone. A ‘recommendations’ button allows music suggestions to family and friends and there’s a special wishlist feature too.

The updated V Cast Music app can be downloaded for free from the Android Market, provided that customers have a data package on their account.
