Verizon Wireless to roll out HTC Touch Pro as XV6850 smartphone

Verizon wireless is set to add HTC Touch Pro known as the XV6850 in its portfolio. It’s a business oriented smartphone with sophisticated technology. Verizon has joined the ranks of carriers in offering the HTC Touch Pro.

XV6850 is powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and has a vivid 2.8 inch VGA display. The Touch Pro is equipped with the TouchFlo 3D graphical interface. The phone sports a slide-out QWERTY keyboard for flexible input of data. The touch screen interface enables the users with flexible panning and zooming capabilities across the web pages.

The HTC Touch Pro comes packed in with a 3.2 mega pixel camera with autofocus and LED flash. The phone is pre-loaded with business card reader application which allows the business card information to quickly and easily store the information on the phone. The Opera Web browser offers easy access to information and entertainment on-the-go. The phone integrates Internet Explorer Mobile and a Wi-Fi radio. The phone supports GPS system via VZNavigator and VZAppStore.

The HTC Touch Pro or XV6850 smartphone will be available at Verzion Wireless Communications stores from December 1 for a price of $349.99 after a $70 mail in rebate and with a two year customer agreement.
