Verizon Wireless offers new software update for Motorola Droid X

Motorola Droid XVerizon Wireless and Motorola last shared center stage back in October when they rolled out the attractive Droid Pro handset that was encapsulated by various exciting features. Now the network carrier is back announcing a new software update version for the Droid X by Motorola. With the announcement of this revelation, the company has made various improvements and enhancements.

The enhancements mentioned by Verizon include preloaded offerings such as Madden NFL football game, MyVerizon application v5, and Adobe Flash Player 10.1 as well as better Android OS Froyo stability and Data Widget to home panel. Upgrades pertaining to Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync feature enhancements to SMTP authentication, corporate email sync and push stop. Even the PIN lock timeout now comes after the server’s settings. Improvements to Visual Voice Mail like Audio routes and ‘Failed delivery to’ message are also seen through this update.

The latest Version.2.3.340.MB810.Verizon.en.USIBP_C_01.09.07P enables the handset to support MP3 media files after MR2 update as well as lets users enjoy video playback and Music Play without any lock-ups. The ‘Smart Profile: Face Down’ feature wont disable the phone ringer permanently. The Weather widget now has the ability to reside within the assigned location updates and not the current location. While playing high quality WMV videos, handset owners can experience enhanced audio sync.

Much clearer hues are now applied to soft keys in applications like Google Maps. While opting for the Contacts widget, users will be able to see the keyboard when utilizing ‘type to search’.
