Verizon Wireless along with LG USA has announced the launch of the new LG Cosmos. The phone is specifically targeted at helping people keep their near and dear ones in the loop through the built-in social networking sites.
The phone comes as a chic, compact user-friendly mobile device with a curved shape and metallic finish. Users can access their e-mails and log onto chat through the handset. It offers users speaker-independent voice commands inclusive of call, message sending, go-to option, contacts, search, redial, My Verizon and help. The user gets the option of sending across text, pictures and voice messages to their friends and family.
While on a call, the phone auto-adjusts voice clarity. Thus reducing background noise and enabling better conversations. The phone supports Bluetooth 2.1 through which the user can configure the headset, hands-free device and access the phonebook. Users can send across calendar events, contact information and even print pictures via Bluetooth.
The phone boasts of certain add-on features as well. It has an 1.3 MP camera which provides the user with three different resolutions, x2 zoom, decreases noise for better image clarity in low-light environments. The camera comes with an inter-changeable shutter/cue sound, brightness, white balance, color effects, photometry, self-timer and night mode. Through the image editor, users can zoom, rotate and crop any image as per their preferences. After the user is through with the editing, the images can be uploaded directly on Facebook, MySpace and other social networking sites. The phone allows the user to allocate favorite shortcut keys for up to 10 contacts. It comes with a Micro USB charging port and can be charged through the computer as well. It is GPS enabled for improved location precision.
LG Cosmos has been made available online at verizonwireless.com and also at Verizon Wireless Communications Stores. The phone can be purchased at a price of $29.99 following a $50 mail-in rebate alongside a new two-year customer agreement. Users will receive the rebate in the form of a debit card which can be utilized wherever debit cards are accepted.
