The Nokia Laser will apparently be seen in the US market soon through Verizon. From what can be gathered, it is has been built to similar specifications like that of the Lumia 920, but the upcoming variant will initially be found solely through the carrier in question upon release.
Dubbed Laser, the smartphone which has been expected to arrive through the network provider since a long time may be launching together with the Catwalk. The latter phone also happens to be a variant of the company’s flagship handset, except that the OEM might be enlisting it under the mid-range category.
According to The Verge, Microsoft will be backing the handset and it seems like the software giant wishes to leave no stone unturned as far as the marketing of the smartphone is concerned. The report furthermore points out that this Lumia 920 variant may pan out to be Verizon’s flagship device and walk shoulder-to-shoulder with other high-end gadgets in the service provider’s portfolio.
Even if not deliberately, the Finland-based tech giant has been at the hub of many gossips. The word out is that a joint effort by the manufacturer and Microsoft could also be pushing to the fore a handset flaunting a similar sensor like that of the 808 PureView, with a tinge of Windows Phone 8. If this speculation stands close to reality, people can look forward to the WP8-powered EOS smartphone with the PureView technology.
The Nokia Laser is anticipated to launch exclusively through Verizon. Those in the US awaiting this variant since its rumors started doing the rounds, should now be able to heave a sigh of relief given that the handset could be right around the corner. And after a hangar full of doubts and assumptions, its price and release date could also be on their way.
