This time, UPS has very recently annunciated an industry-first application for Blackberry handsets. Moving beyond the functions of shipping and tracking packages, the app lends a helping hand in finding the nearest UPS location.
Thanks to this new UPS Mobile app for Blackberry as users can now facilely track shipments, create shipments utilizing the My UPS address book, calculate shipping rates and time-in-transit and then find the nearest UPS locations.
“The UPS Mobile App for BlackBerry is a first-to-market solution for on-the-go professionals that’s arriving just in time for the busy holiday shipping season,” commented Jordan Colletta, vice president of customer technology marketing at UPS.
Developed exclusively for Blackberry smartphones, the new UPS Mobile app doesn’t even require log-in for tracking. The app displays a history of tracked shipments and automatically refreshes when the app is opened after logging in. Users can keep a nickname for UPS tracking numbers for quick reference.
Moreover, users can now access their My UPS Address Book and Preferences and create shipping labels, which can be e-mailed in a PDF file for printout. Once the label is printed, users can use the application’s ‘find locations’ feature for finding a UPS drop-off location with utmost ease.
On a board of support, the UPS Mobile App endures the Blackberry Storm, Blackberry Bold, Blackberry Tour and the Blackberry Curve 8900. Users can download the app for free.
