Twitter App Mobile phones have gone way beyond mere calling and messaging. Now, catching up the latest news, weather reports, viewing YouTube videos, are all being done on mobile pocketable devices. One such thing that has been making news for quite some time is the Twitter for Android phones.

Twitter has declared the availability of the Twitter App for Android at the Android Market, reveals the Twitter Blog. Well, sharing content comes second to the nature of most users these days. Twitter for Android makes sharing easier with a share button that lies in the user’s favorite application.

The Blog reveals,” We had a great time working with the Android team and are thrilled that Google will be open sourcing the code used in this app in the near future. We look forward to the amazing experiences developers will create using Twitter APIs in their upcoming Android apps.”

Reading tweets on the phone is simpler. It also enables faster access to timeline with the homescreen widget. Users can view a tweet location on a map and also their friend’s latest tweet in the phonebook, GoogleTalk list or any application that uses Android’s QuickContact bar.

The Twitter for Android app has been made available for phones that run on Android 2.1 and above.
