TruPhone joins hands with Voxbone to enable free iNum calling from iPhone

Truphone And Voxbone LogoiPhone users can dig their feet deep into this piece of news. Truphone has included a ground-breaking means by which iPhone users can dial as well as receive free international calls via its alliance with Voxbone.

Through this collaboration, users can make and receive free mobile VoIP calls by means of other iNum service providers, counting Gizmo5, Jajah, Rebtel, and others. TruPhone doles out individual iNum freephone numbers to its users with iPhone while registering, when they are under contract with Voxbone.

Karl Good, Director of Applications for Truphone, commented, “We continue to increase Truphone’s value to our users by giving them new and innovative ways to communicate. For people with iPod touch devices, getting their own free iNum numbers means they can now talk to an even broader network of friends across Gizmo5, Jajah, Rebtel and many others for free.”

Voxbone CEO Rod Ullens, stated, “We’re very pleased to have Truphone become an active participant in our community of service providers that connect iNum calls. Our goal is to create and grow the community of iNum providers, build recognition and then add other providers as we gain momentum.”

Apart from the service, Truphone users can dial free calls to each other. They can also talk to Skype and Google Talk users when both the groups are hooked on to Wi-Fi. Instant messaging is also possible with Skype, Google Talk, MSN Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger and AIM communities.

Besides Truphone, service providers like Rebtel, Gizmo5 and others can route calls straightaway to the Voxbone gateway and charge nothing to complete calls. Nevertheless, one has to pay for route calls to iNum numbers to conventional operators. Truphone and Voxbone caution users to confirm the fees that apply when dialing iNum calls routed using traditional operators.
