Truphone, the British VOIP service provider is brimming out with a new application for iPhone and iPod users. It has announced a new functionality where all iPhone users will be able to use Skype, Twitter and MSN messenger.

Skype users can reach out to their friends by using their Skype ID through this application. Truphone users will now be able to make calls to their MSN and Yahoo messengers along with previously introduced GoogleTalk voice chat function. In addition to this, Truphone has also added the instant messaging services through its application on the iPhone.

“The introduction of Skype calling and instant messaging represents yet another breakthrough for Truphone,” says Geraldine Wilson, Truphone CEO. “What this means for Truphone’s customers is that they can now call or message all their Skype friends using their iPhone or iPod touch. This allows iPhone and iPod touch users to have a choice in how they stay in touch with friends and colleagues around the world—all within the one application.”

The users can make free calls between Truphone and Skype over the Wi-Fi and if you are located at a place where you cannot access Wi-Fi, the call cost will be according to the network operator of the phone.

iPhone users can take the advantage of this service from January 12, 2009.
