Trimble announced Juno SB and SC rugged mobile phones

Trimble Juno SB and SC Trimble unveiled its two new durable and light weight mobile devices, the Juno SB and SC. These two mobile phones are wrapped with enhanced functionalities and features. They are targeted towards municipal government offices for mapping and other asset management applications.

The Juno SB and SC operate on Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system on a 533MHz processor. It has a 3.5 inch wide screen and sports a 3 MP camera. Both are rugged devices inherited with high sensitive GPS receiver. It supports Bluetooth technology and wireless LAN. The outer case has additional protection through a high impact hard polycarbonate shell enclosed in a silicone skin for resisting bumps and shock.

“The Juno series handhelds are the ideal solution for GIS-enabled organizations that require high productivity from their mobile field workforce,” says Peter Large, general manager of Trimble’s Mapping and GIS Division.

The Juno SC phone is very useful for organizations that have field workers and need high speed internet connectivity. The SC phone inherits a 3.5G HSDPA and allows the user to transmit data with high speed and can even access emails and can download large files and maps. The users can access mobile office suite; Word, PowerPoint, Excel Internet Explorer and outlook Mobile for better results and productivity.

The Juno SC and SB are the perfect mobile phones for field workforce. The mobile phones are available now but Trimble has not yet revealed their pricing details.
