The newest tablet to set foot in India is the Kindle Fire which is now available at the online retail website, Tradus.in. The eReader cum tablet has already started selling in various countries around the world since its release last month and it was announced way back in September along with the new generation Kindle, Kindle Touch and Touch 3G eReaders.

The sophisticated slate seems to be a good catch for avid readers as it offers access to a vast library of over 1,000,000 books in the Kindle library, more than 17,000,000 songs from Amazon MP3 and over 100,000 movies and TV shows. It is capable of delivering up to 7.5 hours of video playback or 8 hours of continuous reading when used without Wi-Fi.

With stats that read 190mm x 120mm x 11.4mm, the Kindle tablet features in-built mailing options such as Gmail, Yahoo!, Hotmail and AOL. It is integrated with Amazon’s Whispersync technology which automatically syncs users’ Kindle library, bookmarks, last read page, highlights and notes.

This mobile device boasts of the Amazon Silk cloud-accelerated web browser that makes use of a ‘split browser’ technique which apparently extracts the best out of the computing speed and prowess of the Amazon Web Services cloud. Offering support for Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, it comes embedded with a 7-inch full color LCD touchscreen featuring 16 million colors and 169 pixels per inch. Furthermore, this eReader features 8GB internal memory and offers free storage in the Amazon Cloud.

The Kindle Fire is now available online at Tradus.in for a discounted price of Rs. 13,900.
