There are tons of applications available for the iPhone and here there is one more application for the iPhone that needs to be added in the list. Softbank has developed a latest software, Speeek. This is a useful application especially if you travel a lot and are not familiar with foreign languages.
The Speeek application for the iPhone can recognize around 1,500 spoken Japanese phrases and translate them in English or Chinese. It is basically a voice enabled electronic dictionary developed for the iPhone users. The iPhone users may choose from 8 types of phrases: travel, restaurant, basic talk, sightseeing, flirting, transporting and emergency situations.
For example user says “Shuttle wa arimasu ka?” after selecting the travel setting, a textbox appears that will contain the above phrase in Japanese and then it will ask for a confirmation. After the confirmation, the iPhone will display and will read out the translated phrase loudly in English in this case the translated phrase will be, is there a shuttle bus around here?
The Softbank’s Speeek application versions: Japanese to English and Japanese to Chinese will be available for $20 each.
