EA Mobile has announced a new game for mobile phone users known as Tetris Blockout. The Tetris mobile game has attained the distinction of being known as the game of 2007, Tetris Blockout is also expected to follow the same steps.
Tetris Blockout is expected to continue the lineup of Tetris titles which includes Tetris, a multiplayer version of Tetris, and Tetris Mania. The main aim of the game is to clear planes as fast as possible, but now falling blocks have to be rotated and placed in a dynamic three-dimensional playing field.
As Travis Boatman, VP Worldwide Studios, EA Mobile, said, “Tetris has been hugely successful on handheld devices since the game was first introduced over 20 years ago.”
Boatman further explained, “Recent advancements in mobile phones, which include improved graphics and processing speeds, have allowed us to create a fun, new version of the game with Tetris Blockout. We’ve retained all the thrills and immersive gameplay of the original and added a fresh twist.”
Players have to use strategic skills as they have to rotate and place the falling blocks in 3-D playing field, clearing planes quickly. The player earns points from each plane cleared and gains extra bonus when multiple planes are cleared at once.
Tetris Blockout mobile game features three different play modes like classic Marathon, 20 Planes and race-the-clock Ultra. The game is vivid and has colorful graphics with adjustable difficulty levels.
EA is going to create and distribute Tetris Blockout, which is a fun and easy-to-play mobile game. The game Tetris Blockout is made available with all the major wireless carriers in North America and Europe. The price is not known as it may differ from carrier to carrier.
