Tata Docomo unveils Stretch data plans with extended validity for GSM subscribers

Telecom operator Tata Docomo’s customers are in for a surprise as the telecom operator has announced extended validity for data packs under its ‘Stretch’ plans. GSM subscribers who make use of the carrier’s prepaid network can take advantage of the new services.

Basically, Stretch packages by Tata Docomo offer validity of two months, while making customers pay only for a month. That’s double the validity for the same charges. However, there are some disadvantages to these plans as well. For a longer time, you get lesser data as compared to what you get when you recharge for only a month.

As the Tata Docomo says, these data packs are not meant for those who use internet on their mobile phones for entertainment purposes. They will be of use to subscribers who use the web for communicating with friends and family, which clearly consumes less data. The starting price for the data packs in this category is Rs 136. For this amount, you can expect a validity of 60 days, instead of 30.

The Head of Marketing at Tata Docomo, Gurinder Singh Sandhu reveals that the company is making investments to improve its data network and is even working on creating products for heavy, medium as well as light internet users. Also, he says that Stretch recharges are just the first step, which means we can expect a few more plans like these.

As we said, the Stretch data plans for prepaid GSM Tata Docomo subscribers are available now.
