Swipe Konnect 4 and Konnect 4E smartphones are cheap and full of Jelly Bean

The Swipe Konnect 4 and Konnect 4E are the latest in the series of cheap Android smartphones that are released in the Indian market on a regular basis. The former is pegged at a price of Rs 4590, while the latter carries an even more modest cost of Rs 3750.

Never mind that KitKat on a low-end phone is not unheard of, the Swipe Konnect series will simply stick to the Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 OS. Right off the bat, we’ll mention the Intex Aqua N15, Karbonn Titanium S99, Micromax A105 Canvas and the Xolo Q600s as alternatives worth their slightly higher prices in comparison.

Swipe Konnect 4 And 4E

Cheap smartphones in India don’t always enjoy the latest software updates and there’s no telling if and when Swipe plans to roll out KitKat to the 3G-enabled Konnect 4 which has 512MB of RAM and should therefore be capable of running on Android 4.4. It’s a different story altogether with regards to the Konnect 4E that has only 256MB RAM.

The dual SIM Konnect 4 handset has a dual core SoC, 8GB of ROM, a 3.2MP main snapper with LED flash as well as a 4-inch WVGA display.
