Swing Copters from Flappy Bird creator gets easy and less fun with update

Have you noticed the Swing Copters game is less fun now that it’s just not challenging enough thanks to the latest update? Yep, no one can seem to remember complaining about how hellishly difficult it was to achieve a score even as low as 1 prior to the change.

In case you’ve been living under a rock in a galaxy far away, you’ll know that what used to be the devilishly impossible Swing Copters comes from Dong Nguyen, the very guy who created Flappy Bird. The new game adopts similar mechanics as the old one, but does a vertical take on it.

Swing Copters

In Swing Copters, you’re an unidentifiable creature flying through the air with the help of a propeller hat, while avoiding swinging hammers as you keep ascending automatically. All you need to do is tap to change direction and avoid getting in the range of the hammers or it’s back to square one.

In case you dearly miss Flappy Bird and are wondering about it, Nguyen did say it would be coming back in the future. But considering that you can hold people’s attention to one thing only for so long, we wouldn’t keep our fingers crossed since the game has a new substitute which is just as addictive.

Swing Copters can be grabbed for Apple iOS or Android devices for free, though you can choose to pay a small amount to get rid of ads.
