SwiftKey for Android update offers performance improvements, added languages

Keyboard apps like SwiftKey for Android are used by a large number of people from all over the world thanks mainly to their extended features which include suggestions, additional language support, themes and more. Keeping its Indian users in mind, the developers behind SwiftKey have now rolled out an update which blesses the application with support for 10 Indian and even two sub-continental languages.

Once the update for SwiftKey for Android is downloaded, you’ll be able to spot support for Assamese, Gujarati, Bengali, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu, as well as Nepali and Sinhala. Apart from these, Hindi, Hinglish and Urdu have been part of this keyboard app since quite a long time now.

The developers of this utility have gone on to reveal that with the introduction of these new languages, the number of supported tongues on the app has gone up to a whopping eighty one. They have equipped the application with a number of speed and performance improvements as well, by means of this Android update.

It has been revealed that the time taken by the keyboard to appear when it is needed has been reduced, while the time it takes to disappear has also been brought down a bit. And aside from other such additions, the developers also claim to have infused the app with faster switching between fields. Moreover, the typing is being claimed to be ten to eighteen percent more responsive than before.
