StarHub mobile TV service with SeaChange Video Solution

StarHub and SeaChange together present an open and combined back office software solution for high-quality streaming to any handset over the StarHub’s mobile network.

StarHub TV on Mobile empowers users to watch twenty-four branded premium pay channels on their mobile handsets. The platform and the latest mobile service will be exhibited at the BroadcastAsia2010 and CommunicAsia2010, commencing from today.

Around 1.9 million mobile subscribers and over half a million pay television households are served by StarHub. The company has amalgamated the Video Platform to improvise the individualized streaming video on the mobile platform in addition to its unique triple-play “hubbing” strategy.

StarHub’s Intelligent Video Platform deployment consists of SeaChange Adrenalin mobile video system and incorporated Envivio 4caster encoders, enabling on-demand and live streaming of many mobile and video profiles. It further includes eventIS video on-demand back office, to facilitate automated content and metadata ingest and to control workflows from the already existing cable video-on-demand platform. The SeaChange Professional Services endows testing, maintenance, systems integration and solution design. SeaChange foresees further annunciations of more deployments later this year.
