This new offering will enable mobile enthusiasts to make quick mobile payments without any interruption. Starbucks has announced its Starbucks Card mobile app for select BlackBerry smartphones and the iPhone.
Owners can download this app to make mobile payments, control Starbucks Card account, check card balance, refill card with any credit card, check My Starbucks Rewards status or search a nearby Starbucks store using the store locator function.
“Today, one in five Starbucks transactions is made using a Starbucks Card and mobile payment will extend the way our customers experience and use their Starbucks Card,” commented Brady Brewer, vice president Starbucks Card and Brand Loyalty. “With mobile payment, the Starbucks Card platform further elevates the customer experience by delivering convenience, rewarding loyalty and continuing to build an emotional connection with our customers.”
This new application can be enjoyed on a wide array of BlackBerry mobile phones such as the 8800 series, Bold series, Curve series, Storm, Storm2 and Tour. Users can hold their handset in front of a scanner on the countertop and scan the app’s on-screen barcode to make a purchase.
BlackBerry users can download the Starbucks Card mobile app from the official website or text ‘GO’ to 70845. Besides, iPhone owners can download this app from the App Store.
