Star Plus App

Entertainment channel, Star Plus launched its first app for the iPhone in India. This application will present iPhone users with entertainment and access to the channel’s shows while on the move.

Avid viewers of Star Plus shows can enjoy them even when not at home through their iPhones. This app offers a supposedly unique interface through which users can browse content either by the show’s name or the characters. Via this interface, users are allowed to go through audio-blogs and pictures of their favorite Star Plus characters.

Lalit Bhagia, VP- Digital of Star India stated, “The iPhone and iPad devices have changed the way people consume content globally. With the Star Plus app discerning viewers will now have access to the best entertainment content available on their personal iPhone and iPads. The app allows users not just a great video experience, but also gives details on show schedules, news and updates on their favorite show characters through daily audio blogs.”

The application comes hot on the heels of the global announcement by Star India about the same-day telecast of its flagship general entertainment channel (GEC) brand, Star Plus with English subtitles. The software provides users live viewing of shows. They can also catch up on missed episodes as old as two days and receive updates as well as news about the GEC’s current and upcoming shows.

The Star Plus app for iPhone can now be downloaded from the App Store for a price of $0.99. It is also available in more than 120 countries worldwide.
