After we’ve seen dedicated tablets for children, the Sprint ZTE Fury seems geared up to expand the range of smartphones, which can be easily used by tech savvy youngsters. The Android based handset is being promoted as a family and kid friendly phone by the network carrier and is all set to launch tomorrow at a fairly affordable price.
Running on the Gingerbread OS, the Fury is equipped with a 3.5-inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen which displays images in a resolution of 480 x 320p. It has been embedded with a 1500mAh battery to help it survive talk time of approximately 8 hours. The device has also been incorporated with 4GB ROM as well as 512MB RAM. Although the handset ships with a 2GB microSD card for external storage purposes, it can be swapped for another one with a memory capacity of up to 32GB.

The flip side is dotted by a 5MP camera which is adorned with an LED flash. Apart from this, the technical specifications of the Fury reveal a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8655 processor as well. It also offers wireless connectivity options like Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g with mobile hotspot capability.
The Sprint ZTE Fury release date and price has now been disclosed by the network operator. Exclusive of taxes or surcharge, the smartphone will be made available starting March 11 for a price of $19.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate via a reward card. Buyers will require to sign a new two-year service agreement.
