If sports updates on the TV and radio don’t satisfy basketball fans, here’s a new recently announced software for the hardcore followers of the game called the Sprint NBA Mobile app. This application is a result of a multiyear marketing partnership which will make the network carrier the official wireless service partner of the NBA.

The upcoming app has been tailor made for the huge NBA fan following and will offer users access to in-game and post-game video highlights. This application will keep them updated about the latest news, stats, scores and live home and away radio broadcasts. Mobile device owners would be able to enjoy direct access to live ESPN NBA games through Sprint TV’s ESPN Channel.

David Stern, NBA Commissioner, cited, “NBA fans are leading an increasingly mobile lifestyle, which makes Sprint an ideal partner to help them connect with our game at anytime, from anywhere. We look forward to working with Sprint to provide fans with unlimited access to the NBA, beginning with the launch of the new, jointly developed Sprint NBA Mobile application.”

The forthcoming service is set to be available on Android phones for subscribers of Sprint customers by the time NBA’s latest season opens on December 25. It will be constantly upgraded with various features during the course of the season.

The Sprint NBA Mobile app will be free of cost and is set to come along with unlimited usage via the Everything Data plan. For getting their hands on additional NBA content, Sprint customers can purchase the NBA League Pass mobile through this application at an exclusive 20 percent discount off the subscription fee.
