Sprint seems to be making a lot of noise in the mobile terrain since it announced the Sprint ID packs coming on three enticing new smartphones. One of the aforementioned handsets is the LG Optimus S, touted to be the only Android 2.2 powered handset in the lineup. With this handset, users can effortlessly download Sprint’s ID packs.
It proffers easy access to Google applications and the Android Market, which houses over 80,000 applications. Fitted with a virtual QWERTY keypad and a 3.2” capacitive touch-screen, it has been crafted with a sleek and elegant design. Operating on Android 2.2, the phone features a 3.2MP camera with 2x digital zoom, visual voicemail and microSD card slot expandable up to 32GB.

This LG offering requires an activation of any Sprint Everything Data plans and comes with the carrier’s Free Guarantee. One such data plan that can be opted for is the Everything Data 450 plan with Any Mobile, Anytime.
The LG Optimus S hits all Sprint retail channels by Sunday, October 31, 2010. Priced at $49.99, users will have to pay for a $100 mail-in rebate excluding taxes and accept a fresh two-year service agreement or eligible upgrade.
