Sony Xperia M2 Dual pegged at Rs 21990 in India, boasts of average specs and features

The newly rolled out Sony Xperia M2 Dual which is priced at Rs 21990 in India, is just one amongst the company’s latest efforts to make some room for itself in the mid-range Android smartphone segment. We’ll say it before you do; the standard candy bar form factor that Sony adopts for its handsets is starting to look a little tired now.

We’re not big on being unable to distinguish between devices because they all look somewhat the same. And that blazing purple color option simply needs to go away. The release date of the Sony Xperia M2 Dual for the country has been marked for April 25, that’s this Sunday.

Sony has attempted to add a lot of fizz to its photography options with Exmor RS for mobile technology supporting the 8MP lens, Autoscene Recognition and HDR. What’s more, it has partnered with third-party developers to offer extra downloadable helpings through the +Apps option within the camera function.

Specs run-through:

– 1.2GHz quad core Snapdraon 400 processor
– 8MP and VGA cameras
– 1GB of RAM, 8GB onboard storage
– 32GB microSD card support
– 2300mAh battery

If the Sony Xperia M2 Dual doesn’t cut it for you for some reason and you’re looking for a similarly priced phone from the same brand, then there’s the Xperia T2 Ultra Dual and Xperia C nailed at close to Rs 24000 and Rs 18000, respectively. If you need a much cheaper device, then you could probably go for the Xperia M or Xperia E1.
